The Pakistani boat ‘Yaseen’ had 10 crew members on board when it was apprehended by Indian Coast Guard Ship Ankit. Officials said none of the crew members had any documents.
“The Pakistani boat was 6-7 miles inside the Indian waters and tried to escape from the scene after seeing the Coast Guard ship. So far, two tonnes of fish and 600 litres of fuel has been recovered from the deck. Further checks would be carried out once the boat reaches Porbandar,” a Coast Guard official detailed.
The members of the crew are being brought to Porbandar in Gujarat for further interrogation, the Coast Guard said.
