The ICG Additional Director General S Paramesh was on his maiden visit to Chennai from Monday to Tuesday. During his visit an impressive parade was conducted at Coast Guard Air Station, Chennai.
The Flag Officer was briefed by Commander Coast Guard Region (East) on operations-preparedness of the region while dealing with various coastal security issues.

The ADG also called on Dr C Sylendra Babu, Director General of Police of Tamilnadu at Chennai. Various issues related to Coastal Security of Tamilnadu were discussed during the meeting.

The Flag Officer has assumed the command of Coast Guard (Eastern Seaboard) on September 13, 2022. He was at the helm of Coast Guard Region East and Coast Guard Region West before assuming the Command of Coast Guard (Eastern Seaboard). He is an alumnus of the National Defence College, New Delhi and Defence Services Staff College, Wellington.
The Flag Officer is Specialised in Navigation & Direction and his sea commands include all major vessels of ICG which include Advanced Offshore Patrol Vessel Samar and Offshore Patrol Vessel Vishwast. His key staff assignments include Deputy Director General (Operation & Coastal Security), Principal Director (Operations) at the Coast Guard Headquarters, New Delhi and Chief Staff Officer (Operations) at the Coast Guard Regional Headquarters (East), Chennai.
The Flag Officer is a recipient of President’s Tatrakshak Medal for Distinguished Service and Tatrakshak Medal.
