Indian Coast Guard District Headquarters No.5 (North Tamil Nadu) on Friday (March 24, 2023) conducted Pollution Response Seminar and Table Top Exercise by involving officials from State Govt, Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board, Maritime Board, Shipping Corporation of India, Greater Chennai Corporation, Chennai Port, Kamarajar Port, Adani Port Kattuppali, Oil Handling Agencies and all other stakeholders, says a release.

The aim of seminar was to review the preparedness level of stakeholders to face any incidence of Oil Spill at sea and associated shore line cleanup if the spill reach coastal area. During Seminar all agencies shared their expertise in Pollution Response and exchanged ideas/opinions on enhancing preparadness level of state for facing oil/chemical pollution at sea.
