The IEEE student branch of Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya Engineering College organized a two-day workshop on “Evolving Science and Technology Connection” on Saturday and Sunday, September 11 & 12.
On day one, Web3 Strategies & Communications Expert Jaskaran Singh Manocha took the session on Crypto & Blockchain. Jaskaran discussed on several invigorating topics, such as the Importance of DYOR (Do Your Own Research) in the Crypto realm, Economy and how intrinsic Cryptocurrencies are to the current-day Global Economic conditions.
He also discussed at-length about Blockchain and how lucrative an option the Blockchain industry is turning into, while also laying emphasis on niche aspects such as Blockchain in the energy sector. Jaskaran said, “Blockchain & Crypto industry are the future and will bring a lot of transparency in different sectors like banking, etc. Also, the industry has already started generating a lot of employment opportunities for engineers as well as non-technical professionals.”
Along with Jaskaran, other speakers Deepak Singh and Arvind K Singh senior scientists of the Space Applications Centre (SAC), the Indian Research Organisation (ISRO) spoke on ‘Gaganyaan’ and ‘Indian scenario for remote sensing satellites’. The various steps planned and achieved from the time of our independence to achieve the dream of India’s first manned mission and the various aspects of remote sensing satellites were discussed during their session.
After the sessions, in the 2nd half a hands-on-workshop on Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality (AR & VR) was also organized which was conducted by Harshit Lalpura, Co-Founder, Version Update.
During the inaugural session, Er Bhikhubhai Patel , chairman of Charutar Vidya Mandal, Dr Prashant Kunjadiya, secretary of Vigyan Gurjari and Er Pravin Sersiya , an alumni of Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya were also present.
