The Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers’ Association (IEEMA), the apex association of the Indian electrical equipment manufacturing industry on Thursday hosted an interactive session with the senior officials of Tamil Nadu Power sector along with a roadshow for the 15th edition of ELECRAMA in Chennai.
ELECRAMA, the largest stand-alone showcase of the Indian Electrical and Allied Electronics Industry by IEEMA is slated to be held from February 18 to 22, 2023 at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh.
Commenting on this, Rohit Pathak, President, IEEMA, articulated, “We are launching the IEEMA Start-up Challenge and creating a platform for some of the most promising ones to showcase their innovations at ELECRAMA 2023. While only the top 10-12 will get a chance to showcase at ELECRAMA, we will enable you to have a look at all the participating ones too. We need to embrace this start-up ecosystem and create a mechanism to allow them to plug into our industry/companies in a seamless manner. Think of them as our extended R&D and product development arm, and engage with them.”
Hamza Arsiwala, president-Elect, IEEMA said, ‘Tamil Nadu is an industrial hub and one of the fastest growing state of India. In order to sustain the pace of industrial growth, the GoTN is taking all-out efforts for the commissioning of the ongoing power projects to bring in energy security. IEEMA has more than 60 members in the state of TN catering to the Power Transmission and Distribution sectors, manufacturing products mainly like Power Electronics, Switchgear, Transformers, Cables, Elevators in addition to large EPCs etc. Through ELECRAMA, we aim to showcase India’s strength to engage more deeply with the rest of the world. In this edition we aim to secure $ 6 billion worth of business queries from ELECRAMA 2023’, he added.
In his address, Jithendra Agarwal, Chairman, ELECRAMA 2023 said, ‘The 15th Edition of ELECRAMA will focus mainly on displaying innovation and furture technologies in a variety of fields. For the industry’s growth and success, certain areas, present unlimited business opportunities in the future including start-ups and new businesses where massive capital investments are being made i.e. Railways, Metro Rail, Airport, Defence, Smart Cities, Buildings, and the EV ecosystem; small, medium and micro-businesses should be able to participate in the global supply chain as well; to reinforce the core of transmission and distribution, electrical products and equipment must of reliable, high-quality, and safe; this speaks volumes of the scale of th3e event that it is’, he adds.
IEEMA Southern Regional Chairman R Prakash said, ‘ELECRAMA is the single largest exhibition in T & D sector Globally. With around 2000 exhibitors, 5 concurrent conferences, 5 lakh visitors from 70 countries generate billion dollars of revenue for Indian Electrical Manufacturing Industry. The exhibition to be held from February 18 to February 22, 2023;.
On the sidelines of the ELECRAMA 2023, IEEMA will host series of events and exhibitors under the marquee event such as World Utilitiy Summit, eTechnxt, Change X Change – Reverse Buyers and Sellers Meet, DBSM – and Buildelec etc.
