The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) successfully conducted Cluster-1 of the Summer Placement Process for the PGP Class of 2027 on October 28, 2025. The first phase featured six key cohorts — Management Consulting, Transformation & Operations Consulting, Advisory Consulting, Cards & Financial Advisory, Investment Banking & Markets, and PE/VC, Asset Management & Hedge Funds.
The hybrid-format process saw a strong recruiter turnout with over 80 high-profile roles on offer. Accenture Strategy (India MU & Global Network), Boston Consulting Group, McKinsey & Company, Bain & Company, and Kearney emerged as the top five recruiters of the cluster.
Other leading consulting firms included Alvarez & Marsal, EY Parthenon, Kepler Cannon, L.E.K. Consulting India, Oliver Wyman, Roland Berger, Strategy&, Vector Consulting Group, and YCP Auctus.
In the Investment Banking & Markets cohort, Goldman Sachs and Standard Chartered Bank were the largest recruiters, joined by Avendus Capital, Bank of America, Barclays, Citibank, HSBC, JPMorgan Chase, and Morgan Stanley. The PE/VC domain saw active participation from marquee names such as Ares Management, Blackstone Group, Faering Capital, Gaja Capital, Multiples Alternate Asset Management, Piramal Alternatives, and Premji Invest.
American Express, along with Cranmore Partners and Synergy Consulting, led the Cards & Financial Advisory segment. The cluster also featured international opportunities from Goldman Sachs (Hong Kong/Singapore), HSBC (Hong Kong), and Strategy& (Middle East), offering global exposure to the cohort.
The Cluster-2 and Cluster-3 placement rounds are scheduled for October 31 and November 3, respectively.
