The exhibition features 50 original Bhil and Gond art paintings of various women tribal artists from Madhya Pradesh, including Padma Shri Bhil artist Bhuribai and Padma Shri Gond artist Durga bai. These artworks, made with acrylic paints on canvas, reflect the traditional tribal lifestyle and culture and also depict their surrounding flora, fauna, and environment.

This exhibition at IITGN is part of the travel exhibition route that started from the legendary Raja Ravi Varma’s studio at Laxmi Vilas Palace compound, Vadodara, and later will be showcased in Ahmedabad, CVM College of Fine Arts in Vallabh Vidyanagar, before the final show at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.

It is open for public viewing till October 03, 2022, between 9 to 11 am and 5 to 8 pm, at Central Arcade, IITGN. To give the visitors and art lovers an immersive experience, the Art Studio of IITGN is also organising  art talks, screening of documentaries on these artists, and art postcard-making sessions. If institutions or students want to visit in groups, they can send a request to art@iitgn.ac.in one day in advance.
