The Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) is bringing the third edition of the “Seminar Series on History of Ideas’ on Saturday, September 10, 2022, from 3 to 5 pm, with two interesting online seminars that would appeal to a wide range of audience.

The “Seminar Series on History of Ideas” was launched by IITGN in November 2021. This series aims to discuss the historical evolution of prominent ideas and fundamental breakthroughs in Science. The motivation behind this series is to know how these remarkable
ideas came into existence and what were the influences and reactions of the community as well as the broader society on them. In the last two series, prominent scientists gave seminars on the history of Quantum Mechanics, Soft Matter Physics, Relativity Theory, and the History of Algorithms.
The seminar series is curated by IITGN faculty Prof Sudipta Sarkar. Students, faculty members, and anyone interested in knowing some of the interesting facts and trajectory of these ideas are welcome to attend the online seminars through a free but mandatory online registration by September 05, 2022, on the following link: https://tinyurl.com/historyideas
