The Institute of Infrastructure, Technology, Research and Management (IITRAM) on Tuesday announced that its Department of Civil Engineering has conducted a 5-day Short Term Training Programme for Practicing Engineers of various municipal corporations across Gujarat. It was held from June 18 to June 22 on ‘Urban Water Supply and Sewerage Systems’. The training programme was powered by Gujarat Urban Development Institute (GUDI), Government of Gujarat.
A total of 37 practicing engineers were trained on topics like water supply and demand to innovative water treatment and reuse technologies and sustainable practices in water management. The programme included hands-on training and site visits for thorough learning. There was a session on knowledge sharing that enabled engineers to share their knowledge with peers.
Speaking on this, Director General of IITRAM, Prof BN Singh said, “Such training programmes aim to enhance the skills of practicing engineers and helps them to perform better.”
