The Department of Civil Engineering at the Institute of Infrastructure, Technology, Research and Management (IITRAM) successfully conducted a five-day Short-Term Training Programme (STTP) on Road and Bridge Infrastructure for practicing engineers from municipal corporations across Gujarat. Held from November 24–28, 2025, the initiative was supported by the Gujarat Urban Development Institute (GUDI), Government of Gujarat.

A total of 37 working engineers participated in the intensive capacity-building programme, which featured thematic sessions on geotechnical and geosynthetics investigations, pavement design methodologies, assessment and inspection of existing bridges, and construction challenges associated with prestressed bridge systems.
The curriculum combined classroom instruction with hands-on training and field visits, ensuring participants gained practical exposure to real-world infrastructure scenarios. A dedicated peer-sharing forum further enabled engineers to exchange insights, discuss common challenges, and learn best practices relevant to municipal infrastructure development.
The programme concluded on a strongly positive note, with participants acknowledging its value in enhancing their technical proficiency, problem-solving abilities and overall professional competence.
