The Indian Medical Association (IMA), the national body of doctors in India withdrew their protest after a high-powered meeting Chaired by the Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan via video-conferencing today.

Home Minister Amit Shah appreciated the dedicated work of Frontline Warriors. He also assured them security & appealed the IMA not to go for even symbolic protests. Shah also assured that the union government is with them.
IMA National President Dr. Rajan Sharma and Honorary Secretary General Dr. R.V. Ashokan jointly announced the withdrawal of the protest in a tweet.
