Traditional photography relied on film and chemical processes to capture images, while modern digital photography uses digital technology to capture, store and display images. With the advent of smart mobiles and digital cameras, photography has been made easy but keeping alive the traditional photography is a dauting task.

Vivek Desai’s photography exhibition ‘Lambi Kahaniyan’, which effortlessly depicts the daily lifestyle of a human being, has begun at Satya Art Gallery, Navjivan Trust here on Tuesday. A total of 50 photographs has been displayed in this exhibition.
This photography exhibition will be open from noon to 9 pm till September 1, 2025.

Giving information about the ‘Lambi Kahaniyan’ photography exhibition, Vivek Desai said, “Before today’s era of digital photography, the era was that of films. The specialty of the ‘Lambi Kahaniyan’ photography exhibition is that all the photographs in it have been shot on film, in which a Hazelblade X Pan 35 mm panoramic camera has been used. This camera was launched in 1998. The specialty of this camera is its dual format capability, in which both standard 35 mm and panoramic imaging can be shot. This format is perfectly suited for landscapes, city scapes and other scenes.”
He further said that this camera was used from the year 2002 to the year 2017. Today’s new generation can get an example of how photography can be done using film from the Lambi Kahaaniyan photography exhibition.
