BHOPAL, MARCH 20
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath has resigned hours before the floor test. This development has come as the 15-month old Kamal Nath government faced its biggest test in Madhya Pradesh. Speaker NP Prajapati accepted the resignation of Jyotiraditya Scindia and 22 other Members of Legislative Assembly. Speculations are rife that the Congress government in Madhya Pradesh is set to fall now. With the majority government now reduced to a minority, Congress leader Digvijaya Singh has also said it’s unlikely that Congress government will survive. The floor test for a trust vote will be held in the MP Assembly around 5 PM today. It the government falls, it’ll be second government to fall after the Karnataka government in one year.
