The project being executed at a cost of Rs 332 crore with Earthquake Resistance RCC Frame Structure is almost ready and will be completed in next two months. The construction of project began in May 2019. Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the HSR project along with his Japanese counterpart in September 2017.”

Futuristic vision

“The Multi-Modal integration schemes focus on the integration of existing and planned transit facilities in the station area. On completion, this hub will facilitate the passengers to use all the three modes of transport – BRTS, Western Railway and Bullet train – with ease through the 3 Foot Over Bridges (FOBs) The available RoW along existing road network has been optimally utilized for planning the inflow/outflow of estimated traffic in horizon years,” added Singh.

Nation’s first-bullet train will traverse the 508-km distance in 2 hours and 57 minutes covering 12 stations.

The Sabarmati HSR Station is located in a railway yard between two Indian Railway stations of Sabarmati (SBI and SBT) and is in close vicinity to two Metro stations and a BRTS bus stop.
