The first test Match between India and England slated to be held from February 5 to February 9 will be played behind closed doors without spectators as a precautionary measure for Covid 19 situation, said a media communiqué from TNCA Hon Secretary R.S. Ramasaamy on Tuesday.

However, based on the Government announcement to allow 50% occupancy in stadia, Tamil Nadu Cricket Association will allow 50% spectators for the 2nd Test to be held between 13th and 17th February 2021 at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, the communiqué added.

After the mandatory quarantine of 6 days, both the teams started practicing at MAC Stadium from Monday. Visitors practicing between 10 am and 1 noon and the Indian team practice between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. the sources said.
