In Gujarat, the Army has already started online registration for recruitment under the Agniveer scheme on Feb 16. It will continue till March 15, says a Defence release.
“Online registration for recruitment of Agniveer for the candidates of Gujarat is open from 16 February 2023 to 15 March 2023. The candidates in age bracket of 17 ½ to 21 years can apply. Special provision of bonus marks for ITI qualified, NCC, Sports candidates. This year onwards Online Common Entrance Exam (CEE) will be conducted as first step,” says the statement.

All interested candidates desirous of joining the Army as Agniveers may apply online through the official website of the Army, www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
The Online CEE is planned to be conducted at 176 locations pan India from April 17, 2023 to 4 May 4, 2023. The earmarked Online Common Entrance Exam (CEE) centres for Gujarat are Ahmedabad/Gandhinagar, Vadodara, Anand, Mehsana, Surat, Jamnagar and Rajkot. The candidates will have five choices of exam locations and they shall be allotted exam locations from within those choices. The examination would be a computer based examination.
The Army has now changed the complete procedure for recruitment this year. The procedure will now start with an online written examination in a Multiple Choice Questionnaire format at various centres across the country. The physical recruitment rally for all successful candidates will take place, as earlier. Details of the rally location and date will be announced separately.
To help candidates acquaint themselves with the computer based test, educational videos on ‘How to Register’ and ‘How to Appear in Online Entrance Exam’ have been prepared and uploaded on www.joinindianarmy.nic.in website and on YouTube.
