Indian Army’s Golden Katar Division celebrated the International Day of Yoga across Gujarat on Monday, says a release.
The ancient Indian art of Yoga to harmonise the body and mind has now transformed into a festival and is celebrated worldwide as International Yoga day on 21 June every year.
Troops of the Golden Katar Division celebrated Yoga day with zeal and enthusiasm as per the government COVID-19 guidelines and SOPs not only in Ahmedabad, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Dhrangadhara and Pune but also in remote areas.
Integrated Yoga to include troops of the BSF and Golden Katar Division was conducted at Lakhpat and Vigokot in Rann of Kutch.
Yoga exercises were organized for families of troops of Golden Katar Division on the backdrop of the iconic Riverfront in Ahmedabad and also at Sabarmati Ashram to pay tribute to one of the greatest yogis, Mahatma Gandhi.
The Army Public School, Ahmedabad also celebrated the day by performing Yoga. On this occasion. Vibhuti Sharma, Chairperson, Golden Katar Family Welfare Organisation (GKFWO) graced the event.
