Director-General of the Indian Coast Guard Krishnaswamy Natarajan paid a courtesy call on Tamil Nadu Governor Ravindra Narayana Ravi on Friday at Raj Bhavan here, says a release.
He briefed the Governor on various operational facets and recent string of achievements by the Indian Coast Guard especially in the strategical coastal state of Tamil Nadu.
With the ever increasing challenges of maritime security and safety at sea, discussions were focused on strengthening the maritime safety aspects, including safety of fishermen at sea in the state of Tamil Nadu.

Later, the DG also met the Director General of Police Sylendra Babu at the state police headquarters at Radhakrishnan road on Friday.
