As India marks its 78th Independence Day on Thursday, the Indian Coast Guard Region (North West) is conducting various programs in the run up to the day with zeal and fervour to commemorate the occasion.

Officers, men and civilian staff have been enthusiastically participating in the campaigns of “Har Ghar Tiranga” and “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”.
Notable among these includes a Walkathon and Bike Rally in Gandhinagar by ICG Regional HQ on 13 and 14 August 2024, respectively. Multitude of programs were also conducted in the ICG North West Region by ICG units including Bike rally, Flag distribution, Tree Plantation, Community Interaction, Flag Hoisting on islands etc at Jakhau, Mundra, Vadinar, Okha, Porbandar, Veraval, Pipavav, Surat and Gandhinagar.

ICG contingent also participated in Tricolor Parade in Ahmedabad on 13 August 2024, wherein, the contingent exhilarated through spirited march-past in the event, in which Hon’ble Union Home Minister Amit Shah was the Chief Guest, a release from Defence PRO said.
