Indian Culture Day was celebrated with vibrant enthusiasm at Prin MC Shah Commerce College, a constituent of the Navgujarat Group of Colleges, as part of its ongoing Cultural Week—sending a strong message on the importance of cultural diversity and national unity among the youth.

The campus transformed into a colourful mosaic of India’s rich heritage as students arrived dressed in traditional attire representing different regions of the country. From Bengali elegance and Marwari grace to the distinct hues of southern and Gujarati cultures, the celebration offered a living tableau of India’s “unity in diversity”.
Organised by the college’s Cultural Committee under the guidance of Principal Dr N D Shah, the event was designed to foster cultural awareness, mutual respect and pride in India’s pluralistic traditions. The initiative highlighted how cultural understanding among young people plays a vital role in building inclusive, harmonious communities.

Adding a competitive and engaging edge to the celebrations, prizes were awarded for exemplary cultural representation. In the female category, honours went to Vishwa Soni for Bengali culture, and Tiwari Kritika and Suthar Sanyoni for Marwari culture. In the male category, Vadnal Rohit was recognised for southern culture, while Harsh Solanki was awarded for Gujarati culture.

Through Indian Culture Day, Prin MC Shah Commerce College reaffirmed its commitment to holistic education—one that goes beyond classrooms to nurture socially aware, culturally sensitive citizens of tomorrow.
