In the run-up to the Independence Day 2025 celebrations, the Indian Navy is set to bring the stirring sounds of patriotism to the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu with a tri-city musical event titled “Indian Navy Band Performance – Op Sindoor ’25”, a Defence release said.
This public band performance is being organised by Headquarters Gujarat Daman & Diu Naval Area (HQGD&D), in association with the Administration of the Union Territory. The initiative is a tribute to India’s glorious Independence struggle and commemorates the astounding success of Operation Sindoor—a momentous operation celebrating national strength and resolve.
The renowned Naval Band of INS Kunjali will perform a moving selection of patriotic compositions that have resonated with generations of Indians. This solemn musical celebration will be conducted on the following dates and venues:
- 📍 12 August – Lighthouse Amphitheatre, Daman | 1900h
- 📍 13 August – Riverfront, Silvassa | 1900h
- 📍 15 August – Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Auditorium, Silvassa | 1100h
Each performance, lasting approximately one hour, is free and open to the public. The events will be held in venues easily accessible to residents, with parking and security arrangements in place, courtesy of the District Administration.
As the first ever Naval Band performance in the Union Territory, this marks a historic milestone in Navy–civil society connect. The Indian Navy invites citizens of all ages to witness this unique convergence of martial excellence and cultural pride—where Navy meets Nation through music that stirs the soul.
