Zee TV has been a pioneer and a trend-setter in shaping television content over the past three decades and once again, it seems to be changing the face of music reality shows with its latest non-fiction property, the Indian Pro Music League (IPML). In a clutter-breaking format innovation, Zee TV recently launched the world’s first-ever music league championship. While the world of sports has seen several league competitions, this unique music league has six teams representing different regions of India, battling it out against each other in a musical championship.

Each of these six teams supported by leading Bollywood and sports celebrities has top playback singers as their captains, one reality show star, one all-rounder and one fresh voice. Celebrated singers – Mika Singh, Kailash Kher, Sajid Khan, Shaan, Ankit Tiwari, Javed Ali, Asees Kaur, Bhoomi Trivedi, Akriti Kakar, Payal Dev, Neha Bhasin, Shilpa Rao are captains of these six zonal teams.

The upcoming episode of the show is all set to leave the audience amazed by the extraordinary performances of all the six teams on board. In addition to this, the show is all set to witness the appearance of a very special guest who has considered Zee TV nothing less than a home to her. Popular television actress Prachi Desai who has been an integral member of the Kutumb and has won the hearts of millions of viewers couldn’t help but recall the nostalgic phase when she was associated with Zee TV.

Reminiscing the moment Prachi said, “My career started off from Zee and now when I’m here, it almost feels like I’m back home”.

Adding further about working alongside Manoj Bajpayee for her recently launched film, Prachi said, “As an actor you always drive inspiration from a senior actor and dream of getting a chance to act alongside them. For me that one person was Manoj sir. I really feel privileged that I got that chance to act with him because even after winning three national awards, when you see him preparing for a scene, it feels like it’s his first film. So much of dedication and passion for what he does, I feel that’s something to learn from the man”.

While Prachi Desai’s nostalgic memories will get everyone smiling, the actress will also be seen setting the stage on fire with her stunning entry to the song Pilu from her film ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbai’. Bengal Tigers captains Shaan and Akriti Kakkar will leave the audience mesmerised with their rendition to songs like  Dil Chahta Hain, Yaaron dosti and Mustafa Mustafa while performances by the other teams make for yet another  melodic and spectacular episode.

To see how everything went down, tune into the Indian Pro Music League, every Saturday and Sunday at 8 pm, only on Zee TV
