More than education morality and skill are paramount to succeed in life, said Dr Govind Dholakia, Rajya Sabha MP and Founder and Chairman of Shree Ramkrishna Exports Private Limited.
Dr Govind Dholakia, who had written an autobiography titled ‘Diamonds are forever, so are morals’, was addressing the graduating students at the eighth convocation of Indus University in Ahmedabad on Thursday.
In his motivational speech, Dr Govind Dholakia, said, “You are not just graduates; you are the future leaders, innovators, and change-makers who will shape the world. More than education morality and skill are paramount importance to succeed in life. I urge you to imbibe these qualities and scale greater heights in life.”

Dr Nagesh Bhandari, and Dr Ritu Bhandari, Presidential Secretariat of Indus University, said, “Our university has so far obtained 37 patents which speaks volumes of our faculties’ competence in imparting world-class education and life-long skills coupled with morality to students.”
In this eighth convocation, degrees were awarded to more than 900 students of undergraduate and post-graduate programs from various institutions affiliated with Indus University. Further 22 students were conferred with PhD degrees.
Additionally, 15 gold medals and 6 memorial awards were awarded to students across various disciplines.
The honorary PhD degree was awarded to two well-known personalities – Erdem Arioglu, well known Civil Engineer and vice president of YapıMerkezi Construction & Industry In., from Turkey and Indumati Katdare, a well known social worker for their contributions to the society and to the world.
Members of the Board of Management, Board of Governors, and many dignitaries from various fields also graced this grand convocation ceremony. Moreover, the eighth convocation was live telecaste on the university’s YouTube channel, allowing friends, family, and well-wishers worldwide to partake in the celebrations and witness the achievements of the graduates.
