Sainik School Balachadi, Jamnagar announced that Satish Singh, Joint Secretary (BRO & Cer) & Honorary Secretary, Sainik Schools Society, Ministry of Defence, inaugurated an Artificial Intelligence lab at the school on October 21, says a Defence release.
Satish Singh, laid a wreath on Shaurya Stambh – the war memorial of martyrs and later he was briefed about the school and its surroundings on Sand Model by the school principal Group Captain Ravinder Singh.
The Artificial Intelligence lab was inaugurated in Sainik School Balachadi, Jamnagar by the Chief Guest Satish Singh while Brigadier (Dr) PK Sharma, Inspecting Officer, Sainik Schools Society was also present as a Guest of Honour on this occasion.
A special assembly was organized in which Principal Group Captain Ravinder Singh presented the welcome address. He also conveyed his heartfelt thanks to Dr Kirit Prahladbhai Patel, an alumnus of Sainik School Balachadi who has donated 32 computers for Artificial Intelligence lab of the school in the fond memory of his elder brother Colonel Haresh Prahladbhai Patel, SM who was also an alumnus of Sainik School Balachadi, Jamnagar.
On this special day, the Chief Guest released the first ever digital edition of school magazine – ‘SANDESHAK 2020-21’. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest highlighted the importance of being a student of Sainik Schools as the training and education imparted in Sainik Schools help students to excel in life or whichever career is pursued. He said even today he remembers the teachers who taught him in Sainik School Rewa and how those values and training helped him to achieve success in life. He congratulated school officers, staff and cadets for getting the maximum number of Cadets recommended in NDA.
The Guest of Honour Brigadier (Dr) Sharma, in his speech highlighted the importance of discipline in students’ life which is always there in Sainik Schools. He exhorted that the respect which a defence uniform gives cannot be earned anywhere. He also motivated the cadets to join the defence forces and serve the nation.
The vote of thanks was presented by Lieutenant Commander Manu Arora, Vice Principal, Sainik School Balachadi.
At the end, the Chief Guest was taken for the campus round in which he visited leaders’ gallery, the newly constructed Sardar Patel Hostel and other places.
