IPL matches: GMRC rolls out special ticket for ₹50 to visit Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium

• Special Paper Tickets will be available on 24/03/2024, 31/03/2024 & 04/04/2024 in view of scheduled IPL Matches in Ahmedabad
• Metro train services will be available from 06:20 am to midnights on mentioned days of IPL day/night matches from Motera Stadium Metro Station to all operational stations of both lines
• Tickets can be purchased in advance at Motera Stadium Metro Station and Sabarmati Metro station from 08:00 hrs onwards on the day of IPL Matches to avoid the waiting time for purchase of return travel ticket in the evening

In view of upcoming scheduled IPL-2024 cricket matches on 24^th & 31^st March 2024 and 04^th April 2024 at Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium, GMRC has decided to extend the timings of metro train services from 06:20 am to midnights on mentioned days of IPL day/night matches from Motera Stadium Metro Station to all operational stations of both lines.

Presently, metro train services in Ahmedabad are operated between 6:20 am and 10:00 pm at a frequency of 12 minutes throughout the day, a Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) release said.

In addition, to facilitate and provide hassle-free travelling to passengers, GMRC has introduced a special paper ticket to be used for return journey purpose on the day of IPL matches.

To avoid the rush in the purchase of tickets for the return journey, the GMRC has made available the facility of paper tickets which can be purchased at Flat ₹50 per person which can be used to travel from Motera Stadium Metro Station and Sabarmati Metro station to any operational Metro stations of Ahmedabad Metro on both the lines till extended hours of revenue operations.

Special Paper tickets can be purchased in advance at Motera Stadium Metro Station and Sabarmati Metro station from 08:00 hrs onwards on the day of IPL Matches.

Entry with Contactless Smart Tokens, Contactless Smart Card (GMRC Travel Card and NCMC card) will also be available as usual on regular fare up to 10:00 pm.

On these days when matches will be played, the entry gates at all the stations except Motera and Sabarmati will be closed at 10 pm, and only exit gates will remain open, it said.
Entry gates will remain open at Motera and Sabarmati metro stations till the departure of the last train from Motera, it said.

All the prevailing Rules/Procedures of GMRC in this regard shall be applicable.
