Jagatguru Santoshi Baba said that there is no happiness, peace and prosperity in the villages and cities where mother cow is insulted and despised. Santoshi Baba said that this is the historical land of gods and the abode of heroes, where animals and birds have always been respected.
Under the leadership of Jagatguru Santoshi Baba from Pitampura, Jagatguru Sidghashram Sonepat, Haryana, adoption of mother cow was started with the objective of creating awareness among the general public for the conservation and promotion of mother cow.
Leading social workers, cow devotees, office-bearers of various gaushalas and organizations of Agarwal society welcomed the Mahayatra at the Zilla Parishad which was led by Jagatguruji Sri Sri Santoshi Baba with Maa Ko God Lena Hai Abhiyan.
Shri Agroha Bandhu Paschim Kshetra Sanghathan Secretary and former councilor Mahendra Jain Mittal and All India Agrawal Sammelan district general secretary former councilor Shailendra Agarwal said, “This yatra started from Sonepat on February 18 for the purpose of protecting the mother cow and passed through different places in Haryana and reached Ajmer in Rajasthan. The Maha Yatra will cover a distance of 27,000 kms over a month visiting several cities of Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh and will reach Vrindavan in the first leg of the journey.”
In his speech, Jagatguru Santoshi Baba said, “Our scriptures, Vedas and Sanatan teach that Gaon Vishwasya Mataram, but today destitute mother cow wandering on the streets in the midst of the society is going to fall sick and in dying condition by eating garbage and plastic to satisfy her hunger.”
While making a touching call and call on the plight and worrying condition of the cow, Jagadguru Santoshi Baba, referring to the special place given to the cow in the ancient Sanatan culture, advised one roti daily for the cow before meals and to utilize one’s wealth for its shelter.
On this occasion, Jagatguruji Sri Sri Santoshi Babaji said that as long as we live in this world, we continue to get milk, curd, ghee, butter etc. from the mother cow. But it is very sad that a mother who is better than our mother who gave birth to us. The plight of the cow is happening today.
He urged that the service of cow is necessary for leading a successful life, a healthy life. First of all after waking up in the morning remember cow mother and bow down to her, do her aarti, pray and before eating rotli gau gras. If we take one roti in the name of cow mother and offer it to mother cow then we will see how big our life will be. Change will come. This is not just a fantasy but has been used by sages since ancient times.
Sri Sri Santoshi Babaji was joined by many saints and cow devotees and a caravan of Babaji’s followers in this Mahayatra. The Yatra reached Gujarat on February 23-24 and from there the Yatra reached Vrindavan via Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.
