Having made his mark in the music industry of the United States of America, Boston-based Non-Resident Gujarati Jay Malaviya has decided to come back to his home state Gujarat in India. Of course, with a big dream to make talent hunt.
Speaking to navjeevanexpress.com, Jay Malaviya, Founder of S2J Films, said, “I came back to Ahmedabad with my family as I wanted to give back to my Motherland. Having grown up in the US, I felt that there is a lot of hidden talents in India, especially in Gujarat. My big dream is to spot this hidden talent of Gujaratis in filmdom and give them a global platform. To realize my dream, I started the S2J Entertainment Company. Initially, our company has started producing Hindi films, web series, song albums, and also Gujarati movies so as to give opportunities to talents here.”
When asked about his new project, Malaviya said, “S2J Entertainment is going to launch a Gujarati Web Series titled “Rang Tara Ishq No” with Alfaiz Khan and Shivani Joshi as the main leads. This series will be directed by Dev Raval who will also play a role in this series. Other crewmembers are Tanmay Somani-DOP, Akshay Maru-Co director & Editor and LBNO & Raja–playback singers.”
To a query, “Why did he discontinue his lucrative career in the US music industry?”, Malaviya replied with great zeal that he wanted to make a concerted bid to bring out the latent talents of Gujaratis in the entertainment world and showcase them globally.”
The USA has a population of about 331 million and India has a population of 1.4 billion, which is four times more. So even if there are so many stars in the small population of the US, think how much-hidden talent will be in such a large population of India. It is about finding talent, nurturing them and fulfilling their dreams and giving them a chance to become a star in the global arena, said a confident Malaviya.
