A leading jewellery shop in the city was on Saturday sealed for allegedly bringing around 30 women employees from their Usman Road branch in Chennai without proper e-pass, which was in violation of COVID-19 lockdown norms.

On information, the district officials along with police went to the shop and found out the women were brought here to work at the store from Chennai.
Therefore, the store has been sealed. The 39 employees were tested for coronavirus and the results of which were awaited, sources in the police said.
