Sai Silks (Kalamandir) Limited, one of the leading retailers of ethnic apparel, particularly sarees, in South India, launched its 52nd store, 4th Kancheepuram VaraMahalakshmi Silks store in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Actress Jhanvi Kapoor inaugurates the store at the busy shopping area at Pondy Bazaar in T Nagar here on Monday.
The new SSKL store, which operates under its flagship brand name ‘Kancheepuram VaraMahalakshmi Silks’, boasts of an area of more than 12000 sq. ft. with aesthetic ambience across three floors.
- The store houses premium product offerings, including a variety of sarees such as Banarasi, Patola, Kota, Kanchipuram, Paithani, Organza and Kuppadam
- Plans to scale up its strength to 100 stores in the next 3 years: Director Mohan Chalavadi.
- VaraMahalakshmi sarees retail in the range of approximately Rs 4,000 to Rs 250,000.
The management is planning to scale up its store strength to 100 in the next three years. It has plans to open stores in Tire-II an Tire-III cities in the states shortly, said its Director Mohan Chalavadi.
This VaraMahalakshmi store is the fourth such store in Tamil Nadu – the others being located at Mylapore, Chennai and Gandhi Road, Kanchipuram, and Anna Nagar, Chennai.
The store offers premium products, including a variety of sarees such as Banarasi, Patola, Kota, Kanchipuram, Paithani, Organza, Kuppadam, etc., with major focus on handlooms such as Kanchipuram silk sarees.
