In a market where tariff revisions can turn a routine recharge into a budgeting headache, Jio is offering something increasingly valuable: certainty. Marking its 10th anniversary, Jio has reintroduced Jio Prime, a ₹300 one-time membership designed to let customers lock in the prices of their eligible current plans for a full year, while adding a package of cashback and exclusive privileges.
Under the new programme, customers who enrol can continue recharging with their favourite eligible Jio plans at today’s prices until September 5, 2027, irrespective of any future tariff revisions during the price-guarantee period.
A year-long shield against future tariff changes
The centrepiece of the revived Jio Prime programme is its one-year price guarantee.
For customers seeking greater predictability in their telecom spending, the membership allows them to continue recharging with their preferred eligible Jio plans at current prices through September 5, 2027.
Importantly, Jio’s current industry-leading tariff plans, including the ₹299 plan, will continue to be available to all users. Jio Prime is therefore positioned as an additional option for customers who want price certainty rather than a replacement for existing plans.
₹600 cashback plus a front-row seat to Jio’s next moves
The membership adds benefits beyond tariff protection.
Jio Prime members will receive cashback vouchers worth ₹600, comprising a ₹300 voucher redeemable against a new JioHome or JioPC connection and another ₹300 voucher for adding a new Jio SIM connection for friends or family.
Members will also receive early access to new Jio products, services and trials, along with priority customer support through a dedicated service channel.
Jio has further indicated that additional member-exclusive benefits will be announced during the membership period, potentially adding to the programme’s value proposition.
Jio Prime opens its doors to the entire customer base
The revived membership is available to existing Jio prepaid and postpaid customers for a one-time joining fee of ₹300.
Customers currently using other telecom networks can also become members by porting their number to Jio or taking a new Jio connection.
The programme will be available through the MyJio app, Jio.com, Jio Stores and authorised Jio partner stores, giving customers multiple enrolment channels.
From the first 100 million to a 500-million-plus family
Jio Prime has its roots in the company’s early years, when the programme was introduced as an expression of gratitude to Jio’s first 100 million customers.
A decade later, Jio is bringing it back with a broader proposition for its family of more than 500 million users—this time built around price assurance, connectivity expansion and exclusive access.
The message is straightforward: for customers willing to pay ₹300 once, Jio Prime seeks to turn uncertainty over future tariffs into a year of predictable recharges, while adding benefits that extend beyond mobile connectivity.
