Aiming to groom wannabe cricketers, a new entity named South India Schools Cricket Association (SISCA) was launched in Chennai on Sunday. Leading entrepreneur John Amalan has been announced as its 1st president.
The induction ceremony of the office-bearers of the Association will be held during the gala Indian Awards function to be held on August 16 at a star hotel in Chennai, announced the organizers.

The association has been unveiled to identify the hidden cricket talent among the school students in South India and nurturing them to the next level of the game, the organizers added.
They hope that SISCA would fill the gap of proper guidance and imbibe the knowledge among the youngster to achieve their goals to reach greater heights.
It is an attempt to bring the golden opportunity to every young player, South India Schools Cricket Associations (SISCA) has emerged as a platform to take the talented ones to the next phase and develop their skills to participate in National level tournaments.

Sneha Nair has been selected as the Honorary President of SISCA.
Other office-bearers were General Secretary – Pradeep Kumar; Secretary – Joshua Edison; Treasurer – Kudanthai Ashraf. Dr APJ Abdul Kalam’s grandson and the Co-Founder of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam International Foundation – APJMJ Shaikh Saleem, has been chosen as Honorary President of Tamil Nadu School Cricket Federation (affiliated to SISCA).
The induction ceremony will be graced by celebrities of South Indian Film Industry, govt officials, eminent political leaders, Consulate Generals of eleven countries and other dignitaries.
Joshua Edison, Kudanthai Ashraf and Vignesh Majini were present at the conference.
