The Road Show by the Karnataka Tourism to showcase its diverse and captivating attractions of that state held in Chennai on Thursday received overwhelming response. The Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka, hosted an engaging Roadshow at the Taj Coromandel Hotel on 3rd August 2023. The event was attended by over 150 travel trade representatives, media professionals, and esteemed guests who came together to witness the glory of Karnataka’s tourism offerings.

Dr. Ramprasath Manohar Varatharajan, Director, Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka, and Mr. Sashi Kumar, Assistant Director of the Department of Tourism graced the Roadshow with their presence.
A dedicated group of stakeholders from Karnataka, all of whom played a pivotal role in ensuring the Roadshow’s resounding success.
Prior to official launch of the Roadshow, Dr Ramprasath Manohar Varatharajan told reporters that the Karnataka Tourism Department will conduct Road Shows in different parts of the nation and abroad to lure the tourists from across the globe.
The evening commenced with engaging Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings, where tour operators and travel agents had the opportunity to network and explore potential collaborations with Karnataka’s tourism officials and stakeholders. The highlight of the evening was the audio-visual presentation on Karnataka Tourism, through captivating visuals, the essence of Karnataka’s natural beauty, vibrant culture, and warm hospitality was vividly portrayed. Following the presentation, an interactive Q&A session provided attendees with the opportunity to gain deeper insights into Karnataka’s tourism offerings.

FKCCI to host Dakshin Bharat Utsav during September 2023
Meanwhile, talking to navjeevanexress.com, Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) President B V Gopal Reddy said that the FKCCI is organizing the Dakshin Bharat Utsav on September 22. Detailed programme would be finalized in a day or two, he added.
Tourism Departments from six southern states – Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Puducherrry will take part in the Utsav, he added. G K Shetty, Chairman, Tourism Committee of FKCCI also accompanied Mr Gopal Reddy.
