The programme is especially aimed at aiding children and individuals with special healthcare needs. People with special needs often require special consideration in receiving dental treatments due to their developmental or cognitive conditions. This can also include patients with Autism, Spectrum Disorder, Alzheimer’s Disease, Down Syndrome, or any conditions that make dental procedures more difficult. These individuals include, but are not limited to, people with developmental disabilities, complex medical problems and significant physical limitations.
Therefore it is extremely important to create awareness about the importance of oral health as part of general health. Under the MoU, KSD will extend its efforts in bridging this gap and making healthcare accessible to all.
