Addressing the Valedictory Function of Kashi Tamil Sangamam 4.0 at the sacred town of Rameswaram, Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan described the initiative as a living embodiment of India’s timeless unity. “Kashi Tamil Sangamam is not merely an event; it is a civilisational journey that reflects India’s spiritual continuity and cultural oneness,” the Vice-President said.

Highlighting the enduring bond between Kashi and Tamil Nadu, he noted that the relationship goes beyond historical links and represents a profound spiritual continuum that has bound Bharat together for thousands of years.

“Such cultural exchanges remind us that India’s unity is deeply rooted in shared values, traditions and spiritual consciousness,”
he added. quoting Mahakavi Subramania Bharati, the Vice-President observed that the Kashi Tamil Sangamam reflects the poet’s vision of a confident, integrated and culturally united nation.
“Bharati envisioned an India that was fearless, united and culturally self-aware. Today, that vision is taking shape through purposeful national initiatives,”
he said, crediting the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for transforming cultural dialogue into a pillar of national integration.
Tamil Nadu Governor R. N. Ravi, addressing the gathering, said the Sangamam powerfully showcased India’s civilisational unity.
“The cultural bond between Kashi and Tamil Nadu symbolises the soul of Bharat — diverse in expression, yet united in spirit,”
the Governor remarked.
Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan said the initiative has played a vital role in strengthening emotional and cultural integration across regions.
“Kashi Tamil Sangamam is a shining example of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat. It connects generations, regions and traditions, while inspiring pride in our shared heritage,”
Pradhan said.
Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs L. Murugan described the programme as a bridge between ancient wisdom and modern India.
“From Kashi to Tamil Nadu, this Sangamam reinforces the message that our cultural roots are inseparable and our future is collective,”
Murugan stated.
He added that such initiatives are guiding India steadily towards the goal of Viksit Bharat through cultural confidence and mutual respect.
The valedictory function was also attended by Nainar Nagendran, MLA, Director of IIT Madras Prof. V. Kamakoti, and other dignitaries from across the country.
