Rupani greets doctors on National Doctors Day, describes them as true angels in tough times like coronavirus
Describing doctors as corona warriors, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani greeted the doctors on the National Doctors Day through social media for their singular contribution and stellar performance in combating and containing global pandemic novel coronavirus COVID-19.
He said that doctors proved themselves as true angels during tough times like coronavirus. While the abbreviation Dr is used to denote Doctor, it proved to be ‘Dear’ to the people in the year 2020, devoted as they remained to lakhs of patients. The society will remain indebted to the doctors. While it is tough to work in PPE kits for eight hours, they worked in full gear for often 12 to 16 hours.
Rupani said that it was because of their devotion and dutifulness toward humanity in Gujarat that lakhs of lives could be saved from the spectre of the deadly virus.
