Tamils have been following the principle of ‘food is medicine’ from time immemorial to keep their body healthy. The food we consume daily should contain all the nutrients our body needs. They follow the habit of dividing food into six categories – sweet, sour, salty, bitter, pungent, and astringent – based on taste. A good diet is one that is balanced and complete with all the flavors. Foods cooked with these 6 tastes are called delicious food. Seasonal fruits are the bounty of Mother Nature to human kind.

With the advent of summer, mango, the King of Fruits, which is the National fruit of India, is consumed by young and old all over the country. Its sweet fragrance and delectable flavors have won the hearts of many around the world. Mango is a rich source of Vitamins A, C and D. Mango is rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, and it has been associated with many health benefits, including potential anticancer effects, as well as improved immunity and digestive and eye health.
Aiming to delight the food lovers of Apnu Amdavad with this nutri-rich fruit, Sambar Café, the destination for authentic South Indian cuisine in Ahmedabad, on Thursday announced the launch of Mango Madness, a culinary celebration that will showcase mango in over 20 traditional dishes.
