With an aim to spread awareness amongst the general public and especially the youth about “Army Way of Life”, a “Know Your Army” campaign was held at the Event Centre, near Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad on Saturday. It was organized by the Konark Corps in conjunction with Golden Katar Division and civil administration, says a release.

The occasion was graced by Major General Mohit Wadhwa, General Officer Commanding, Golden Katar Division, Kirit Kumar Parmar, Mayor of Ahmedabad city and Keshav Verma, Chairman of SRDCL besides other distinguished guests.
Large number of local populace, including students of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) and schoolchildren, witnessed the event.
It also included display of existing indigenous new generation weapons, equipment, screening of motivational movies and military battle drills. Various cultural activities such as “Khukri Dance”, “Jhanj Pathak”, Military Pipe/Jazz Band performances added vibrancy and fervor to the event.
Stalls were put up by the Army Recruiting Organization and NCC to spread awareness about various aspects of joining the Indian Army through different types of entry schemes.
The joint initiative “Know Your Army” campaign was unique, memorable and inspiring experience for one and all which connected everyone with the gallant vibes of Indian Army.
