Tamil cine industry is adept in making real life stories to keep the cine-goers on their seats’ edge. Antony Samy of ‘Saayam’ fame is directing one such film, ‘Kooraaivu’ (Sharp Investigation), with cinematographer turned actor Natty in lead role.
The film has commenced with grand pooja at Hotel Le Meridian in Chennai. The film will be bankrolled by Muruganandham of Red Green Productions and co-produced by Palaniswamy.
Directors Bharathiraja, R V Udhayakumar, Perarasu, Ezhil, Mano Bala, Manoj Kumar, Saravana Subbaiah and Bose Venkat among others took part in the pooja.
Commenting on the film, director Samy said, “The crime thriller is based on a post-mortem held in 2018. I am sure that the script will bring the audience to the edge of their seat. The premise will be very interesting and there is a twist in the movie which is sure to surprise and shock the audience,” he added.
Shooting will commence on 13 July and be wrapped in one schedule. Major portions for the movie will be shot in Karaikudi, Pudukottai and Nagercoil.
Subhapriya Malar of ‘Mundhirikaadu’ directed by Kalanjiyam plays the female lead. Star cast of the movie also includes Mano Bala, Ilavarasu, Bose Venkat and Ravi Mariya.
Christopher is the cinematographer, music is by Naga Udhayan and editing will be by Muthu Muniyasamy.
