An American woman was truly over the moon when she got back her late husband’s ring that was lost 47 years ago in the US. Curiously, the ring was discovered in a forest in Finland.
Debra McKenna, 63, who had got the ring from her then-boyfriend Shawn McKenna in 1973 had accidentally left it behind in a department store bathroom in Portland, Maine, after taking it off to wash her hands. The couple were married for 40 years until he died in 2017.
In January, a man using a metal detector in a park in Kaarina, Finland, found a ring with the inscription “Morse High School” buried under eight inches of soil. He contacted the school’s alumni association which identified former student Shawn McKenna as the owner of the ring. AGENCIES
