TradeIndia, claims to be the country’s oldest B2B platform planning to spread its wings to South India, especially Tamilnadu, said Jai Gopal Nair, Senior Vice President here recently in Chennai.
Addressing media, Nair said that the Tamil Nadu accounts for nearly 15.24% of country’s micro-enterprises and has the highest number of non-farm units. TN has the third largest number of MSMEs in the country with a share of 10.3% and around 5 million enterprises. With strategic expansion, the TradeIndia plans to assist businesses grow by providing them with necessary solutions to expand their operations & equip them with digital commerce solutions.

The TradeIndia has listed over 85,000 categories of products from various MSMEs, SMEs.
Nair said, “The Indian and State Governments have launched various schemes, policies & initiatives to support the SMEs & MSMEs in the region. Tamilnadu is a key market for us. Few entrepreneurs, including Athira, MD of Nandalala Enterprise which is exporting human hair from Tamilnadu took part in the media briefing. Athira said that after listing their company in TradeIndia, it has grown manifold. Similarly, an instant food product manufacturer and producer of office enclosures and few other small-time entrepreneurs expressed that they had exponentially grown after listing their business in TradeIndia.
