Six people were killed when lightning struck them in two different places in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Wednesday announced Rs 2 lakh each for the families of those who were killed in a lightning strike in Virudhunagar and Kallakurichi districts.

A total of six people were electrocuted to death when lightning struck them on Wednesday evening.

Chief Minister MK Stalin also extended his condolences to the families of the deceased.
