Lieutenant General Arvind Walia, Chief of Staff, Southern Command visited the military establishments in Vadodara on Wednesday.

During his visit, the Chief of Staff was briefed in detail by the Commander, ‘First in Battle’ Air Defence Brigade on the operational preparedness, administrative arrangements and training activities of the formation. A demonstration on ‘Engagement of Remotely Piloted Aircrafts (RPAS) by Upgraded L/70 Gun’ was conducted during the visit which was appreciated by the visiting officer.
The General Officer also visited Electronics and Mechanical Engineers(EME) School where he was briefed by Commandant on the existing training methodology and infrastructure of training establishment.
New Ideas and Innovations were also showcased to the General Officer during the visit. Lieutenant General Walia emphasized on adoption of innovative methods to counter RPAS threat and commended the training infrastructure both at Air Defence Brigade and EME School.
