Discussions on citizenship law, GST returns for the state of Maharashtra and state welfare were among key highlights of CM Uddhav Thackeray and son Aaditya Thackeray’s meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi here on Friday.
“Discussed CAA, NPR and NRC with PM, no one needs to fear,” said Thackeray while briefing the media on his meet with the PM, adding “no one will be thrown out of the country.”
In reference to a letter that Maharashtra CM wrote to the Centre seeking “legitimate dues” of Rs 15,558.05 crore towards the Goods and Services Tax (GST) compensation until November 2019, Thackeray said, the state is getting dues, however the pace at which the returns are being received is very slow.
“PM Modi has promised extending all cooperation to Maharashtra government,” Udhhav added.
