Mahantshri Vijaydasji of Shri Dandi Ashram felicitated Gujarat Journalists Union Vice President Nitin Khambholja, veteran journalist of Kheda District, in recognition of his impartial and fearless contribution to the media.
The felicitation ceremony was organised by the executive committee of the Gujarat Journalists Union at Shri Dandi Ashram in Dakor.
Chief Guest Mahantshri Vijaydasji said, “Journalists have a very important place in the development of society and are considered the Fourth Pillar of democracy. It is the duty of journalists to expose the good aspects of the government and to fearlessly expose its wrongdoings and to give voice to the vital issues of the people. I congratulate the GJU members for doing this work with great courage.“
On this occasion, Mahant Vijaydasji honored senior journalist Nitin Khambholja, an alert and fearless journalist from Dakor, by presenting him with a shawl and a bouquet of flowers.
GJU President BR Prajapati eulogised Vice President Nitin Khambholja as the beacon of hope for budding journalists and his great, valuable contribution to Press Freedom and journalists‘ welfare.
The report of the activities of the GJU was presented by the General Secretary Natubhai Bhatt, who called for strengthening the union..
Principal of Uttar Buniyadi Vidyalaya Dakor, Kiritbhai Shah; Former Principal of Bhavans College I. K. Pathak; Dr. R. M. Patel and Former Secretary of Lions Club Jaideepsinh Dabhi honored the newly appointed Vice President Nitin Khambholja by presenting him with mementos, shawls and bouquets.
The meeting was attended by GJU vice presidents, Dr Nikhil Shah; Jagdish Brahmbhatt (Dhegam), Jayesh P. Vyas (Visnagar) and renowned writer Parikshit Joshi.
The program was successfully conducted by Jaideepsinh Dabhi and the vote of thanks was given by Nitin Khambholja.
