Aiming to woo Tamils, a team led by Vijay Jadhav, Deputy Director, and Preeti Pawar, Tourism Specialist, the Directorate of Tourism, Govt. of Maharashtra, has undertaken an extensive trade fairs participation and outreach across India to establish a dynamic platform to let traders showcase their tourism products while promoting the Maharashtra as a wholesome destination.
At TTF Chennai, Maharashtra Tourism Pavilion, Booth no B-300, Hall-1 of Chennai Trade Centre, the Pavilion was inaugurated on Friday in the august presence of Vinay Kumar Rai, Director- Tourism, Government of Bihar; Nand Kishore, MD, Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation and Keshri Kumar, Assistant Director, Directorate of Tourism, Government of Bihar along with Tourism veterans from various tourism associations from Southern Region and prominent representatives of companies from across Maharashtra, international guests and tourism stakeholders.
“This fair presents an exceptional opportunity to start new trade relationships with regional and global partners. At TTF Chennai, 25 tourism stakeholders from all across the state will be participating as Co-Exhibitors with Maharashtra Tourism Pavilion. These companies cover the entire spectrum of Tourism service, including hotels and Resorts, Adventure tours, Maharashtra Domestic Tours, Jungle Safaris, Temple and Heritage Tourism, Transporters and fleet owners, etc.” expressed Girish Mahajan, Tourism Minister in his statement.
“Regional diversity of the state will be showcased at its best at the pavilion with companies coming from Kokan, Mumbai, Lonavala, Mahabaleshwar, Nagpur, Tadoba, Shirdi, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar and others.” said Jayashree Bhoj, IAS, Principal Secretary, Tourism in her message.
“Maharashtra Tourism will showcase how it has been embarking on an unprecedented journey across India to establish a dynamic platform that enables traders to feature their products and also promote tourism in Maharashtra. Maharashtra Tourism has been focusing upon doing a series of events that include conclaves, road shows and trade fairs. In the process, DoT has been participating at different key tourism trade fairs across the country”, informed Dr BN Patil, IAS, Director, Directorate of Tourism, Government of Maharashtra.
Some of the key participants in this fair are- Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation – MTDC, Alaukik Hotel Shirdi, Deccan Tourism, Gagangiri Tours & Travels, Horizon Safaris, Hotel Sai Chhatra-Shirdi, Hotel Sai Jashan- Shirdi, Hotel TempleTree- Shirdi, Jivanta Hospitality, JYP Holidays, Mahalakshmi Hospitality, MaNi Holidays and Management, Navkar Holidays, Orient group of hotels & resort, Paradise Tours and Travel, Plaisir Hospitality Services, Ravine Trek, Rhythm Hospitality, Saibaba Travels, , The Byke Hospitality Ltd, Travnet Tourism Services, Vasundhara Group of Hospitality, Xpova Destination and Rangoli tour guide association, Mumbai.
These companies form a great mix of hoteliers, tour operators, aggregators, adventure tour companies and jungle safari companies.
