Maj Gen RS Godara, Additional Director General, NCC Directorate Gujarat, visited NCC Group Headquarters, Rajkot on Monday and Tuesday.
During the visit, the ADG reviewed a wide range of NCC activities and interacted with cadets, Associate NCC Officers (ANOs), and staff members.

On Monday evening, Maj Gen Godara visited the construction site of the upcoming NCC Academy located on the outskirts of Rajkot, where he was briefed by Gp Cdr K Loganathan, on the progress and future plans of the project.
The visit on Tuesday commenced with a ceremonial Guard of Honour presented by NCC cadets. This was followed by a comprehensive briefing by the Group Commander, Brig K Loganathan, who apprised the ADG of the ongoing training activities, social service initiatives, and the camps conducted and planned during the current training year.

Maj Gen Godara also visited 2 Gujarat Battalion NCC and 2 Gujarat Girls Battalion NCC during his stay. He addressed the cadets, ANOs, and staff, commending their discipline, dedication, and noteworthy contributions to the organization.
In his address, the ADG emphasized the crucial role NCC plays in shaping the character of youth, highlighting that it builds resilience, promotes teamwork, and fosters a spirit of service, responsible citizenship, and patriotism. He also appreciated the concerted efforts of Permanent Instructors and NCC officers in inculcating national values and supporting the holistic development of cadets.
