“The addition of simulators is a big achievement not only for the Directorate but for the cadets also. It would benefit the cadets immensely as the flight simulators can help more experienced pilots practice emergency procedures or unusual situations from the safety of the ground and is a blessing for the beginners. The design and controls of the Flight Simulator are exactly the same as a real microlight, in addition, all emergencies and weather conditions can be simulated. The Flight Simulator would go a long way in training the air cadets. This will not only broaden their horizons in the field of aviation, but it will also help them take up a career in aviation, both in civil and armed forces. Gujarat Directorate continues to strive and to devise new means to train its cadets,” the ADG added.
Further, 50 percent of the training will be provided on the simulator and the rest in the microlights, he said.
