The ​Next of Kin Cycle Expedition undertaken by Battle Axe Sappers under the aegis of Battle Axe Division was flagged in by Major General Rakesh Kapoor, Vishisht Seva Medal, General Officer Commanding, Battle Axe Division at Jaisalmer Military Station on Monday, February 17, 2020.

The expedition was successful in educating the Veer Naris and Next of Kin of battle and physical casualty soldiers about their entitlements and also addressed their grievances.-NE photo

​The Battle Axe Sappers completed the ‘Next of Kin Outreach Cycle Expedition’ by covering various interior locations of the five Southern States -. Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. It covered a total distance of 1,401 kilometres over 25 days. The expedition was successful in educating the Veer Naris and Next of Kin of battle and physical casualty soldiers about their entitlements and also addressed their grievances. The expedition team had a fruitful interaction with the schoolchildren and local youth to join the “Olive Green” thus garnering goodwill for the forces.
