Stating that the whole country is feeling the pinch of the pandemic’s second wave, to wipe out this negativity among the masses Magnet Media Films, producers of National Award-winning Dhummas, has announced the streaming of Gujarati web series “Vath Vath Ma” on OTT platform ShemarooMe.
Dhollywood Superstar Malhar Thakar and rising star Pooja Joshi have played the lead roles in this romantic-comedy as lovebirds Pahel & Swayam. The duo wanted to get divorced and go for a vacation as soon as possible and for this they hire an advocate. The story takes a twist when the advocate comes to the couple’s bungalow to get their signatures and then a 21-day nationwide lockdown is announced. Then they were forced to remain in the bungalow with their fingers crossed. It is a family entertainer with a difference.
Speaking to navjeevanexpress.com, Malhar Thakar said, “This web series was shot to bring out positivity among the commoners during this corona-induced lockdown. Using the effect of art we have tried our best to instill mental strength as well as physical strength which are necessary for a healthy living. How the trio tackles the impact of the pandemic with innovative ideas and romance is the story. All in all it is nothing but a stress-buster.”
Talking about the shooting of this web series by following all SOPs, Malhar said, “It was a really challenging one to wrap up the shooting in eight days. To ensure the safety of all stakeholders, we have maintained a 20-25 team wearing masks and other safety measures. One-day we have resorted to 20-hour-long shooting and we, lead actors, were not given much dialogue but to express our feelings silently with comic actions. It reminded us of silent movie era.”
Lead actress Pooja Joshi said, “ I have started my artiste career with Gujarati cinema. Pairing with a veteran actor like Malhar is a great learning experience.”
The web series script is written by Bhargav Trivedi and directed by Kartavya Shah. Along with them, actors Chetan Dahiya and Krupa Pandya also play in important roles.

The shooting of this romantic web series was completed in eight days. The series has a total of five episodes and will be shot in Ahmedabad.
