Having taken a hit during the COVID-induced lockdown, the hospitality industry is thinking out-of-the-box to woo back its customers with various value-added services.
In Aaapnu Amdavad, many pet-lovers have found solace in the company of man’s best friend as they helped in boosting their moods during this tough time. Further, furry friends proved that they are valuable and supportive like family members and friends to overcome the loneliness of their masters.
After easing of restrictions, pet-lovers have started to think of paying back their canine friends with good treat that would raise their happiness.
Taking the cue of their loyal customers, one of the five-star hotels, Novotel Ahmedabad, unleashed the mouth-watering new dog menu – Yummy Licks – in the city. In an event organized on Sunday, in collaboration with Salomi Gupte a renowned Canine Behaviourist, the hotel announced this new initiative for the furry guests apart from allowing them to stay in its rooms.
Speaking with navjeevanexpress.com, Novotel Ahmedabad General Manager Jayakrishnan Sudhakaran said, “We are completing 10 years of our operations in Ahmedabad. To celebrate it in a memorable way for our customers, we have decided to launch a special dog menu – Yummy Licks – as well as allowing them to stay in our special rooms. In the hospitality industry, hygiene is of paramount important criteria and the pandemic has forced us to step up it further. Our customers are helping us to maintain this like their homes. In keeping with the times, we have converted our hotel into a pet-friendly property.”
Elaborating on the dog menu, Jayakrishnan said, “This menu is an outcome of two months of experimentation by Chef Mrinmoy Chakraborty with the expert guidance from Salomi Gupte. Some star items of the menu are Puppychino, cheese chunks, muca acuminate and assortment of brown rice and chicken preparation.”
This Sunday event was a close knit affair of some popular and rare breeds playing games and tasting their new menu.
